Hello ,

“Our streets and our sidewalks are made for people, not robots,”
- San Francisco supervisor Norman Yee in an interview with Recode.

The best founders develop a deep understanding of their customers. The best urbantech founders also learn to understand how city governments might play a role in the their businesses. While there are some good frameworks for founders to understand customers, we’ve not found one to understand city government. Then we came across a great piece of research from C40, designed to help city governments understand their own power to influence specific activities related to climate change. We think it’s also a helpful framework to think about how startups should work with city governments.
